Yuval Dor

Prof. Yuval Dor graduated from the Hebrew University, where he studied vascular biology with Prof. Eli Keshet. He was a post-doctoral fellow at Harvard University with Prof. Doug Melton, and focused on the cellular origins of pancreatic beta cells. Since 2004 he became a principal investigator at the Hebrew University Medical School in Jerusalem. His lab studies pancreas development, and pancreatic beta cell dynamics and regeneration. Their long term goal is to identify drugs that can increase beta cell mass for the cure of diabetes.

Yaakov Nahmias

Dr. Nahmias received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Minnesota and completed his postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School where he also held a faculty position. Since 2009 he has been the Director of the Center for Bioengineering at the Hebrew University. Nahmias is the recipient of an NIH career award and an ERC starting grant.
